Seven days to the hour and 3,660 miles later, we've set up base camp
in Pleasanton. The drive was a tad tedious at times, and the last
couple hundred miles felt like an eternity - but all in all a
fantastic adventure. America is an amazingly diverse country... From
the plains of the central US, to the awe inspiring Rockies, to the
arid yet beautiful landscape of the Southwest - it's a beautiful
country with a seemingly endless supply of inspirational places and
friendly people.
I've given friends the same advice for years - if you haven't explored
our country, get out there and do it. You will not be dissapointed.
It will be nice to spend more than one night in one place. It will
also be refreshing to not stumble out of bed at 6am and head straight
for the car. It's time for some much deserved rest.
