Opportunity Knocks

Job Description -
Seeking an experienced web professional with a proven track record of managing large scale online initiatives from conception through delivery. Must be well versed in all facets of eBusiness including web operations, strategic planning, SEO, lead gen, social computing, online commerce, user experience, etc;.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for leading strategic web initiatives across the entire spectrum of EMC’s online ecosystem
  • Strong PM capabilities – with experience leading virtual and cross functional teams
  • Work with business units & geos to help fully leverage online capabilities
  • Assist with the ongoing definition and execution of the eBusiness roadmap
  • Identify emerging technologies and trends, apply as appropriate to meet business needs
  • Provide leadership across functions and geographies – candidate must have strong leadership abilities

SKILLS

  • Strong communication skills – proven ability to motivate cross functional teams and manage direct and indirect reports
  • In depth understanding of the inner workings of web operations, with experience in SEO, ECM, design, UX, development, social media, lead gen, etc
  • Ability to understand emerging technologies and apply to solve business needs
  • Intimate familiarity with the evolution of the web – Strong familiarity around emerging social capabilities and trends
  • Management experience managing a large web property – such as a .COM, Extranet or Intranet
  • Strong verbal and written skills, as well as high level of confidence interacting with senior business professionals
  • Minimum 8 years experience
  • Strong organizational skills and managing multiple groups & tasks.
  • Bachelors Degree (non technical)
